93 grand marquis oil pan

i just bought a 93 grand marquis and i need to replace the oil pan ,am i going to need to lift the engine to do this job!

Supposedly you do. However, I heard from others accomplishing the tasks by just raising the transmission a little bit.

    <TD>When draining the coolant, keep in mind that cats and dogs are attracted by the ethylene glycol antifreeze, and are quite likely to drink any that is left in an uncovered container or in puddles on the ground.       It may be necessary to loosen, but not remove, the 2 nuts on the rear transmission mount and with a jack, raise the transmission extension housing slightly to remove the pan.
