My 96 grand marquis's plastic headlight lenses have yellowed to the point that itis not safe to drive it at nite.

Can these be cleared up with something or do I have to replace them ? I can hardly afford to do that.

A lot of your problem is very fine scratches hacing glazed the surface of the lens. I found a product on e-bay for about $8.00, called Novus 2 that you apply as if you were waxing the car, let dry, then polish with a clean cloth. I use it on my old cars and it make a lot of difference, but you need to re-applt it every so often depending on your climate and how many miles you drive.I live in Arizona so the windblown sand tends to scour everything, even the paint.

There are other similar products besides Novus.Try doinga google for "scratch remover".
