Well, I did it.

I waslooking at a '07 GS with an asking price of 14k, and got to chitchat with one of the sales people (I do some part time work for the dealership).

All went well, till he told me that he will get one in dark blue next week, no sunroof, but with foglights. Miles are a bit higher (22 k), but the price was a killer, we will settle at around 12 k, since I will bring the money with me.

How about that?

So, my '92 is for sale. If someone is interested, contact me for detailed details.I'm asking $1,000 and will advertise the car locally. Due to its condition (less than 50 k miles on it, from Florida, and the dealership just did the major maintenance), it will be gone quickly.

And yes, will post pictures when I have the new one.

Greetings!

Do you still have the car? What part of Florida do you live in?

That'd be a good car for the daughter to learn how to drive on. Too bad it's so far away.

I think I might look into getting her a surplus police model. That way she (actually I) won't have to worry about it getting dinged up a bit.

Well, am supposed to get it next week. I was told it's a fleet vehicle, from an executive at Ford.

He hasn't gotten his new one yet, so I have to wait. No biggie, I guess it's worth waiting.

BTW: I'm in Northern Indiana. And for a MGM, no way is to far, remember: we just don't drive, we float!

Greetings!

where are the updates, or did the deal fall through? the really messed up thing i know around here is dealers want your first born for a nice Grand Marquis. there is a nice dark brown Grand marquis in my are and they want $3,300 for it. it is a 1986 with 34k. i dont see it selling myself for that price. i have at most paid $750 for a car. the Grand Marquis i own now has 106k and it is a 1987 that i paid $250 for. i am glad i can do my own repairs as needed and basic maintenance. i get these cars cheap when they dont run and resurrect them to be on the road again.
