Sorry if this has already been discussed, but I've been looking around at underhood superchargers for the 4.6, and the only ones I've found for the Grand Marquis run between 4 and $5K for a complete kit. Is there a company that sells a cheaper GM supercharger kit? Has anyone been able to use the cheaper ones made for Mustang applications work in a GM?

well this works good im in the process of transplanting a full mustang motor into mine and your best bet is to find a rear end wrecked cobra mustang(thats what i did) paid 2000 for it no interior no axels just the shell and motor and trans and such. Only has 67,xxx miles on it and i did hear it run breifly(no radiator) so should rip.

So what year Cobra was it? Was it a newer one with a blower already installed on the motor? I'd say you're going to have a very fast car on your hands once that upgrade is complete. Please post further details on your project.

The motor in my '04 only has 37K on it and runs great, so an engine transplant doesn't make much sense right now. It just needs another 100hp and it will be right where I want it to be. Guess I'll just put it off until it makes more sense to mess with it.

shell is allready been scrapped for 300 bucks back, heads are at the shop getting polished and ported. and blower is getting gone thru. ill keep you all posted.
