I was wondering if there is a way that you can turn off the option of the doors automatically locking after shifting into either reverse or drive?

Yes there is the procedure to disable the autolock feature is in your owners manual it is a "procedure" though not hard but not simple either.

I believe it is a matter ot turning the ignitions switch on and off three times, lock and un lock doors three times cycle swtich three times, and lock and unlock three more. I think something like that.
