HI there





I am the proud owner of a 1999 Sable wagon. Love it like crazy, but lately it has gremlins in the power locking system. The remote won't open the locks anymore (tried changing the the battery, no go) and it doesn't auto lock when put into gear anymore. Locks work fine using the lock buttons on the door panel though, so I assume it's not a fuse. Anyone else had this issue? Please let me know.

Yes it is, and both of them are doing the same thing!

ok first of all put your key in the ignition and turn it on/off 8 times quickly and the door locks should cycle if/when this happens hit the lock button on each remote and when you do this the door locks should cycle again. If this works after doing both remotes shut off the ignition and try them to see if they work.. As for the auto locks innop check your owners manual there should be instructions on how to turn the feature on/off.

Hi...well I tried that, the locks did cycle, but the remote did nothing afterwards ...thanks for the info. though!

ok if the locks did cycle most likely you have bad remotes..
