My Sable locks will lock when putting the car in motion but when stopping the car and turning off the engine only the drivers door will unlock.
This car is new to me but shouldn't all the locks unlock when turning off the engine? Thanks for any help in solving this...!!!

If all the doors are unlocked when you put it in gear, will they all lock? If you are driving along or in gear and unlock the doors, will they re-lock themselves automatically?

yes, they will all lock when it is in gear. I can unlock them by the button on the door but they do not relock unless I press the lock button. When the car is shut down only the drivers door will unlock.

that's the way it's supposed to work. my 2006 F150 did the same thing, except it wouldn't unlock any doors when I turned it off. but pulling the handle on the door from the inside would unlock and open it. I think with yours, the handle doesn't work to open the door from inside when it's locked so they added the convenience feature to unlock the driver's door. You'll just have to be mindful of unlocking the rest of the doors for the passengers to get out when needed.
