hiya i have a 2k grand marquis and the headlights and interior light randomly come on and go off while its sitting. i htought it was a door not shut tight or the trunk not closed but everything seems ok . is there a switch that makes this happen i ask cause this has happoned once before to me with this car and it always seems to happon right when the dealership is trying to get me to come in for a expinsive scheduled matenance. right now they trying to get me to come in for a 500 buck one and i would rather do the work to it myself or at someplace else than the dealership. but the timeing both times is fishy so was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem before and knows the soultion. thanks Edited by: playful0

Does your GM have a keyless entry keypad on the outside of the drivers door?

yes

Check to see if your code to Lock/unlock the doors is working.. It is a common problem for those keypads to short out causing your exact problem..
