I have a 2003 GM with Interment roughIdle. Dealer can not pull code.

So they refuse to do any more.

Has any else have idle problem with their G M 4.6 L if so how was it fixed.

Does it have an EGR pressure differential sensor--like a MAP or Barometric sensor but on the exhaust system. IF it does, try replacing this and see if it corrects the problem.

It is worth noting that the 2003 models do idle faster than the previous years. This could be interpeted as a rough idle. What type of oil are you using? If the check engine light isn't on, then there is no code to pull. So, the dealer isn't refusing to pull it, it can't be done.

I had a 97 GMand traded for a 04. The first thing I noticed was that it had a rough idle to it and not near the response as the 97 did on acceleration. The old reply came back "they all do that". It now has 32K mileson it. I have recently had problems with it shuddering during shifting on acceleration and I took it in. There was never a Check/Service Engine light that ever appeared, but they replaced 2 ignition coils and it seemed to eliminate the shudder during shifting, but it still has the rough idle. This will not answer the question, but it will let you know you are not alone with the problem.

not true. the pcm/ecm will hold a "soft code" without lighting the mil.

mil only gets lit if the code happens 3 succesions or more after
