98 grand marquis engine wont turn over
#1
I changed my intake manifold and now the engine wont turn over.First I checked everything simple like batery, cabels, starter, all good. I pulled the intake manifold off to back-track and see if something fell intoone of the holes, I cant see s___t!!!I pulled all 8 plugs and tried to turn the engine over by hand.The Crankshaft Pulleywould not go clockwise at all but it went back about 3/4 of a turn and then "CLUNK", 3/4 clockwise then, "CLUNK". It wont do a full turn over. Something is "CLUNKING" from the passenger rear of the engine.  ; ;
Any ideas???? Thanks, Jimmy
P.S. Car ran fine before this, just a hair-line crack in the intake manifold.((Shoulda'''' left it alone, at least I was ridin'''')) <! Message ''''"" >

I hate to tell you... but something must have fallen inside. No other explanation. If it wont turn over normal, you''ve got it wedged. If it goes 3/4 turn the OPPOSITE way... then clunks.. you have it wedged on the other side... I recommend a complete tear down and inspection.

Shonlo is right. something is preventing the piston from reaching the top of its motion. You''ll at least have to take the head off. and depending on what, if anything, is damaged, replace the piston, head, valves, spark plug.
