Red face 2004 Merc Marq lS brake pad removal

I realize this sounds plain, but in this case the user has used enough of the rear rotor that the caliper will not rotate for pad removal due to the rotor lip pad contact area. I tried a little leverage w/o success...I didn't want to do any damage. I'm open to suggestions.
Thanks ahead for any response,

looks like I found the answer, which never crossed my mind due to the wear on the rotor, local bleed at the wheel and push the pucks back...works for me.

I would think that it would have compressed without opening the bleed but whatever works.
