Hi. Yesterday, my power windows stopped working, all of them at once. Upon entering my car at night, the interior lights and the glove compartment lights did not work either. Could a fuse be responsible for all these components failing at once? I havea 2002 Mercury Sable. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

It is possible the electrical is very sensitive...I have a 99 Cougar, I was changing a bulb on one of the courtsey lights and did not get it in properly and did not work initially, then my power mirrors did not work.. For the fun of it I checked the fuse box and sure enough one of the 7.5 fuses was blown... Look at the owners manual that came with the car and look at the diagram fro the fuse box and the location of your fuse box..Look for the fuse that controls the areas that your having trouble with and pull the fuse..(My fuse box was located under the instrument panel in the car..their is also one in the engine compartment)If the metal plate is broke in the fuse then it needs to be replaced... Hope this helps...
