Hello to all of the Mercury enthusiasts out there. I purchased a 1969 Montego MX convertible (along with a spare 69 convertible parts car) a few months back that I may not have the skills/space to complete. As such, I am listing it for sale and wanted to let the enthusiasts for this market know about it. Recently had an amateur paint job in Calypso Coral (Competition Orange) that needs to be sanded/buffed, black vinyl interior is all there thanks to the parts car, all trim pieces (interior and exterior) are accounted for and in very usable condition, currently has 351 with auto (not sure if original or not), does not have power steering or AC, power top works with new vinyl convertible top not installed. Wiring was hacked up so from the parts car I have replaced the harness to rear of vehicle and will be replacing the under dash harness soon. Motor ran when I bought it but doesn't want to start now. Currently has Crager SS rims on it. Parts car has solid frame, floor pans. trunk pans. Have convertible top although partially disassembled. Will have many of the trim pieces available as I'm taking the best ones for the completed car. Has power steering and AC. Has Cyclone dash pad in decent shape (a little wavy on top but no rips or tears).
I am selling all for $4500.00 firm. I'll keep working on it over the winter and price will go up in the spring. Here is a link to my local ad:
