I have 1998 Mountaineer that has Code P1309 read with a
scanner. The car runs fine, but this code keeps resetting after I
clear all codes.
Can ANYONE give me an idea where to start?

You must have the code read and see what its for.I dont know off hand what that code is but it sounds like an o2 sensor and if your vehicle has some miles on it I would recommendthat you replace all 4 sensors depending onyou vehicles miles. I hope this helps you good luck and let me know what happens. By the way autozone in some ereas will scan your vehicle for free.
