Default 2000 LS, blower not blowing!

Has anyone overcome this problem? My 2000 Grand Marquis' blower won't blow. Thinking it's an electrical problem of some sort, maybe having to do with the switch. The blower motor, when independently hooked up to a battery, will turn, but when everything's in place, I get no air movement through my vents!

Well.... same thing happen to me recently in my '01. It turned out to be a "Blower Motor Speed Controller" It was $52 from the dealer....Before I fixed it everything worked(blend doors, head unit) except the blower...After I installed it, everything was back to normal..
Any questions, I'll be happy to answer them

It's under the hood, passenger side, under the two coolant hoses that go to the heater core. I wouldn't call it easy because you have to take the coolant hoses off and one of the two screws is hard to get to. It's not hard though. Also, it's actually in the path of the air from blower to keep it cool....so you have to pull it "out" and "up" to get it .

this should help:

interesting. They went from the resistor packs to a solid state style controller.

Very old post, but I still have a question. The blower speed controller on my 2001 Grand marquis LS with automatic climate control appears to be bad, also. I have no heater/AC blower went out suddenly despite the fact that everything else appears to check out fine. Does the blower speed controller part number XW1H-19E624-AB have to be purchased from the dealer or is there a resource online that carries them? I am making the assumption that the dealer will be the most expensive place to buy anything.

Thanks for the help.
