Default Locating which 02 sensor to change P0430 (see pic)

Hey all. 97 Mercury Sable. I've had this code for some time and have replaced plugs, wires, fule filter. All the cheap stuff so far. Moving on to the 02 sensor. There are 4. i would like to not change the wrong one. It's B2. Any ideas on the location? I know it's after the cats but not sure which one. Heres a pic of the code reader. Thanks.

I have so many times have told people to stop throwing parts at a problem in attempt to fix a trouble code. A code just means that the computer has found a sensor that is reading out of the normal operating range. It does not mean the sensor is bad. The 430 code means that the sensors in the right bank are not seeing much of a difference between the the inlet & outlet of the CAT. There could be many reasons why.

You would be money ahead by paying th $50-$60 to have it diagnosed. I no longer do auto repair, but many times I have fixed a computer problem by fixing a bad ground,or bad contact in the wiring harness plug connections.

You could have a bad sensor(s), but maybe not. There is no way that I or anybody else can tell on line.

I understand you want to save money (who doesn't), but unless you have the knowledge or proper equipment to do it, it is usually more profitable to pay someone. Many are penny wise, but pound foolish.

But this isn't the answer you want, & the O2 sensor is the in the right bank. I don't know which one it is, but if it doesn't work in one position, you can switch to the other. If neither position works, then you can probably rule the O2 sensor out as the problem.

Yeah the only parts I've thrown at it thus far have needed to be changed anyway. Plugs, Wires, Fuel Filter, 108000 mil. It was time. I'm having a friend test the TPS and other sensors to see if we can narrow it down. Another forums told me the cats are going. The $800 is what I'm trying to avoid. Thanks for the advice!
