picked up a 91 mercury in jersey a couple of weeks ago.

It needs a paint job, and i didn't like the dark blue interior so I've already striped that out, and im going to replace it with grey. The car only has 80,000 miles on it, under the car is spotless, no rust anywhere. Even all of the sickers from the factory are still on the frame, rear, sprngs..etc. etc.

I have a set of GT-40P cast iron heads that are brand new that have been sitting in my basement for a few years.

If I put the GT-40 head on the car will i be able to use the headers that are made for those heads?

Also, as far as an intake would i be able to run one like a reg. 5.0?

I know that the intake in the merc faces the opposite way of the 5.0 in the stang, so what would i do about the wires and things like the tps?

Also, what about suspention? One good thing about the mercury is that it is a full frame car so no worries about sub frame connectors, but what about Upper and lower control arms?

Does any one make them for mercs or crown vics?

Also, are the rears in these cars 7.5" or 8.8"?

im sure i will have more questions along the way.....

thanks,
justin
