Default About to buy an '85

I'm about to buy a 1985 Mercury Grand Marquis 2 door coupe. I feel like a fish out of water joining this forum as I happen to be a MOPAR man having been an owner of countless Chrysler-Dodge cars since buying my first new car - a 1967 Dodge Coronet 440 2 door. In June of 2012 I purchased a 2004 Sebring convertible with 17,000 miles on it as a back-up for my other '04 Sebring convertible that had 150,000 miles on it. Well, I finally sold the higher mileage one (175,000 miles at the time) this spring with the intent to turn the low mileage one into my daily driver. Unfortunately, about a month ago I started thinking about introducing this car to highway salt/snow/slush and realized I didn't want to do it. I decided I needed a winter car and started the hunt for a coupe - I hate sedans. I found this '85 Grand Marquis coupe at a very reputable local used car dealer. It has 90,000 miles on it, runs out nicely, is in reasonably good condition overall but is certainly not perfect. Considering I wanted to limit myself to a spending max of $1,500.00 I knew I wouldn't find a perfect car. The dealer is asking $1,800.00. I will be stopping by there tomorrow to haggle; but, in the end, if he stands firm I will still likely be buying this car.

I'm well versed on Sebring convertibles; but, I know nothing about Ford/Mercury products so I expect to be asking questions from time to time as I encounter issues with this car.
