Question 07 Mercury Grand Marquis A/C question

Hi,

I just started to notice that, when stopped at a stoplight, the a/c feels warmer; then, when I get up some speed, it cools off again. Any suggestions?

Just an update. I checked the temp of the car while the a/c is running on Max at 72 degree setting. The temp climbed to 79. I looked at the engine. The motor fan (behind the radiator) is not blowing (don't know if that means anything), and the (I guess) a/c belt on the engine continually engaged and disengages. I have a video I could post or link to if that helps.

I got a set of jumpers today, hooked them directly from the fan to the battery, but the fan didn't come on. According to a few things I found online, that seems to indicate that the fan needs to be replaced. Is that most likely the problem?
