clicking relays
I am working on a 1995 grand marquis. it has been sitting for about 6 years. I replaced the battery and everything looked good. the car turned over and it started. I turned the car off and heard a loud clicking noise under the hood. I located the noise in the power distribution box. the fuel pump relay was ckicking and you could barely hear it, the starter alternator relay was also clicking but when it did you could really hear it down near the starter. I put new relays in and still clicked. stopped when I took them out. aside from the obvious rodent damage, what else would cause this. it happens with the key on or off as long as the battery is hooked up. thanks for any input...

the car has been stored inside and in a controlled environment. there is no evidence of rodent damage and really the car looks nicer than any of the newer cars I have. would it be possible for the alternator to be back-feeding to the power dist. box causing a power surge to trip the relays?????
