92 marquis transmission slipping problem ...
92 100k marquis auto gearbox problem ... slipping into 2nd and 3rd
All fluid and such is fresh and clean and all correct.
I have a slight whining noise from a pump or something from the engine bay and had read about a front gearbox hydraulic pump pressure problem ... but there is no pump to see... that is at having a quick look. is this the problem and how to fix it or ???? any info help much appreciated.

Problem indicates that the Transmission Filter (Motorcraft FT-100) needs replacement.
Transmission filter inside your trans should be changed at every 30,000 miles.
Get the Motorcraft filter, and re-use the ORIGINAL pan gasket -- that requires NO RTV SEALANT !!
I installed a B&M Drain Plug Kit to make future trans filter changes quicker, easier, and with NO MESS to clean up later.
You will need to have 5-6 quarts of transmission fluid to re-fill to proper level -- DO NOT OVER-FILL !!
