Removing window tint glue off of windows

I took my window tint off of my front windows and I cannot get the adhesive off. Goff off with acetone in it did not work.
What else can I use?

Years ago I used to work in a small town parts store and we sold an adhesive remover made by 3M. It was expensive from what I remember but was the bomb. Not sure on glass applications though. Google it or call a local stereo and tint place and see what they use and if they will share some info with you. I''m 100% sure there is a product for your specific problem. Is the glue real dry? Maybe a razor blade?

Thanks guys. What I used made it worse because all it did was to move it all around in a bigger area.
It really loosened it but smears it all over the place.
I''m gonna try some soapy water and a razor blade and if that doesn''t worki''m gonna take it to a tint place like Boomer Mcloud and have them do it.

I asked them and my buddy but none of them ever took the residue off.
I read something that said to use soapy water and a razor blade.

A friend and I put it on, well mostly him and when I had it inspected they had to take the tint off of the two front windows to pass but they just riped it off and left the residue on.

3M Tint Guard General Purpose Adhesive Remover. I Googled it. Like I said it''s not too cheap. I saw some all purpose auto trim, tint, etc., citrus cleaner in Target the other day. It was cheap and was supposed to be effctive. Eco-friendly, too!!!! [img]smileys/smiley1.gif[/img]

Thanks conan and slymer. Water was the secret.
A heads up for anyone else wanting to know how to get the tint glue off of the windows conan was right on the money with this one.
I used hot water and a razor blade and it came off in no time.
BTW: Life was so easy back in the day when the only extras to worry about was the inside door handle unscrewing and loosening. A screwdriver fixed that.
A tune up was so easy and NO emissions till the 60''''s.
