Serious Audio Issues! Bypass? Preamp?

I just bought a cd player for my 1991 Grand Marquis Colony Park LS. Hooked up all wires correctly zero sound comes from speakers. Before I rerun all speaker wires hoping I could find a wiring diagram to bypass the preamp colors dont match so I wont connect unless I get a wiring diagram please help. I will take any advice.

if you still have the factory harnesses the wire diagram will come with any aftermarket harness adapter. This is the best way to connect aftermarket equipment. also, depending on the head unit, you may have to enable the high power speaker output. Mine defaults to everything enabled, but I'm not sure all units will do this.

If the original harnesses are cut out, you will have a hell of a time figuring out what goes where. wire colors are not always the same even within the same model year. Check out http://www.p71interceptor.com/radio/ and you should be able to figure out what wire goes to what if the harnesses are still on it (scroll down to the 1997 and older section).
