ok guys heres another question
i got my 3.8 capri ready to be gutted and my 302 with a holley 650 cfm thunder carb
now will i have to change anything to the fuel system going from the 3.8 to the 5.0?

you might need a higher flow fuel pump and replacing the fuel lines might also be a good idea (the rubber sections only). if both of the engines use mechanical pumps mounted to them, then the pump shouldn''t be an issue. Just make sure the fuel lines are not cracking. An inline fuel filter between the pump and carb might also be a good idea, but it''s not needed if you have a filter in the carb.

of course, anything electrical for the 3.8 engine probably won''t work on the 302.

ya i thought i would have to changed the pump and lines

also i know i need to changed the rad, motor and tranny mounts, anything else you can think of that i should be changing?

of course, the wires and engine control computer (but that should go with the 302 if it''s a pull from another vehicle), unless you''re going totally old school mechanical/vacuum everything. You''ll have to change the exhaust as well. If you''re running an air conditioner, you''ll have to change out lines and such for that as well since the compressor will probably be in a different location. If it''s close to the original location you might get away with just replacing the dryer/accumulator and expansion valve after gutting the old setup. If you ever open the AC system, you should always change the dryer/accumulator and expansion valve. the former is the expensive part, the valve is usually less than $5. and of course, all the hoses and vacuum lines.

good luck.
