1999 cougar big problem

Default 1999 cougar big problem

hello, i have a 1999 mercury cougar v6 auto. 140K if i press on the break pedal when the car is idleing it dies. when i start the car it revs really high and then quickly drops and dies. when it dies i have no power to the car no power even on ACC only. if i jump start it it revs to 7000 rpms and dies again what is wrong with my car?

check all fuses and sencors... if good its an electrical issue with the computer bro...

ive owned my 95 xr7 for little more then a week and already had to learn how to deal with electric/ wiring issues... real nasty work dude... keep at it tho, dont let the cougar beat you bro... lol

Will it idle if you don't touch anything? Can you drive the car? If so, what happens when you depress the brake pedal say, when you come to a red light or stop sign?
