91 cougar heater core

how easy is it to change the heater core out in a91 cougar? is there an easier way rather than taking out the whole dash?

you may be able to do it by just removing the glove box and the duct work directly behind it.

91 cougar heater core

Hi, I, working on 67 cougar coupe, the orig. 289 motor had already been pulled out before I bought it. I placed a 351w ford racing motor into the engine comp. I then put in the heater obx with a new heater core and the lines from the heater core are extr. close the engine head. I was going to put Magna-kool heater hoses in but I cant becuase the hose clamp ends are too long. I have not ben able to find 90 deg. fitting for these hoses. Does anybody know if the they make 90 deg. elbow for the heater lines, if noe any suggestions would be great

most parts stores should have them. you can check to see if the stock 302 bypass hose will work. It's a 90 degree hose. Check the diameter though to see if it will fit. It may be a little small. Also, any parts house should be willing to work with you to get a 90 degree hose that will fit. Just know your pipe size or take a hose that does fit to match things up.
