93 Cougar door hinge pin replacement
I found the pins, bushings, etc... The problem is that I have no idea how to replace the old one without taking the door off. Is there any way to avoid this? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

I used a hammer and a large screw driver to bang out the pins that the bushings are mounted on, but that was on a 85 pontiac parisienne. I'm not sure about the older cougar though.

If you do one hinge at a time and support the door it can be done.. Although I think it's maybe a tad easier to just take the door off...

Slymer, look on the internet for instruction videos. U-tube has a lot of them. I did my left top pin by using a Dremel grinder to grind the top off the pin and driving it out with a punch.. I did my right side door pin by simply loosening the bolts on the hinge and inserting shims. My shims were suspension ones like wheel alignment people use on the a-arms. Worked perfectly.
