What mods can speed density handle?
I have a 1991 grand Marquis with the 5.0 efi and I needed a new intake and found a really good cheap ho intake and throttle body and want to know if the computer can handle these changes and I was thinking about changing the injectors from the grey ones to the 19lb orange ones but I heard that even though the injectors are grey they are still 19lb is this true is save a bundle of it is

Correct replacement fuel injectors for your 5.0 V-8 are: MOTORCRAFT CM4347.
Those injectors have a large metal body that can hold heat and cause sticking problems. I switched to the BOSCH Series 3 -- 19-lb. injector -- Orange body. These run cooler, less chance for clogging. I have over 50,000 miles on the BOSCH injectors, and they work perfectly. Intake Manifold -- Computer doesn't care much about an intake manifold. -- Stock manifold is usually best choice. Throttle Body -- Increasing the size of the Throttle Body is a waste of time and money -- UNLESS -- the CAMSHAFT is changed, as well. If you don't change the cam, the rest of the stuff won't do diddley -- it all has to work together, or it won't work at all! Our Grand Marquis are fine cars -- built for comfort, NOT for speed. If ya want speed, get a Mustang !! I have restored/modified a '95 Grand Marquis -- built for long-distance, high-speed touring of the mountains and deserts of the American West. Extensive Suspension Mods; Transmission Shift Kit; Ignition Upgrades; Dual Exhaust; Severe-Service brakes; Engine tuned to factory specs. 2000 rpms = 80 mph; Engine Temp = 194F.; Outside Air = 105 F. Fuel Pressure = 35 lbs/idle. Fuel Mileage = 16 city, 25 Highway. Chevron 87 Octane Gasoline.
