02 GM rear tailshaft seal.
 

Have 02 GM with slight drip/leak from rear tranny shaft seal.
Dealer says they have to replace the entire rear tail shaft housing not just the seal.
I call BS on that . They say that the housing is warped and cant just replace the seal.
The housing looks fine to me and no wobble or play in shaft.
Please let me know who is right

02 GM with 68 k was parents car.

Get a second opinion. Tkae it to a reputable transmission shop and see what they say. It is possible, but I've never heard of it before.
