'03 Sable "lunges" forward when starting

Hello folks. I have posted this in the "Sable" discussion as well.
We have a 2003 Sable with just over 155,000 miles. I have recently noticed, it lunges forward a bit when I start it. I only notice this when the engine & trans are cold. Is this normal for these vehicles?

Lunges forward? In PARK?

"Lunges" was kind of a strong word to use ... The car doesn't move at all, I can just feel a forward motion when the engine starts. I have posted this in several Forums related to Mercury and Ford cars. I still have not received a straight answer as to if it is normal or not but some of the explanations made perfect sense. I am told, with the close clearances within the trans bands, etc. and the fluid being thicker when cold, it is possible to feel this. I have also heard from others who feel the same thing. Is it normal? I still don't know. With over 150,000 miles, maybe it needs a flush and new filter. I have also heard these can do more damage than good!
