06 Mariner door ajar alarm issues
 

I'm praying someone here can help me, because I'm stumped with this one. I've got an 06 Mariner here where the previous owner started having his door ajar chime go off. Rather than troubleshoot the issue, he decided to snip the wires that ran to each door and splice them together. From everything I've read, that should have fixed the issue, but it hasn't. If the car isn't in park, this alarm is dinging, and it's driving me mad. If someone can let me know where the chime is located so I can just remove it, that would be ideal. I've tried tracking it down, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. Alternately, tell me what I need to do to trick the car into thinking the doors are closed. Either solution works for me, just please help a guy out before I end up taking a perfectly good car to the junkyard out of irritation. Thanks!
