Hi all. Noob here just looking for a little info. I have an 06 Montego with LED tail lights. The passenger side tail light has gone bad. I'm still picking my jaw up off the floor after pricing a new one. Apparently these are not available as an aftermarket item and Ford wants almost $500 for one! Even used the cheapest I've found is $220. I've seen some posts on here about converting standard tail lights to LED. I want to know if it's possible to do just the opposite. If I can get my hands on a complete set of standard type tail lights from a 500 or Sable, could I make these work? I know the wiring harnesses are different. But, if I got wiring and all could i just plug them in and be good to go? Or is there more involved? I'm just a poor boy lookin for a cheap way out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
