1994 Mercury Grand Marquis LS recommended Tire Pressure???
 

Kind of a simple, but very important question...lol I just bought a 94 Grand Marquis LS 4.6L There was no manual and no tire pressure decal where it normally is on the door/doorjam. Tires are rated for 35 psi max, but thats just the max tire pressure for the rubber. What I need to know is if anyone has the actual manufacture recommended tire pressure for a 1994 grand marquis. As far as I know most Grand Marquis are 31 psi front and 35 psi rear, but I just want to confirm that its the same for the 1994. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You could always call a dealer and confirm it, but I would go with what the tires on the car at that time say anyway. 32 psi. is always a good rule of thumb for passenger cars.

I run 35 psi on my tires on my 93 vic and my 88 mgm. Remember, this is a cold pressure reading. Best to do the tire check first thing in the morning.

Its a 94 so I wouldnt know what dealer to call...lol.

35 PSI cold is what it says on the TIRES but thats the MAX PSI the tires can handle not the recommended, nor ideal tire pressure for the vehicle.

A lot of cars have a different recommended tire pressure for front and rear axles. (steering and drive in this case) so running all the tires at 35 psi wouldnt be ideal.

On the door jam or the side of the door of your 93 vic there should be a decal that tells the recommended tire pressure for the vehicle. It definitely wont say 35 all around...but mine is missing and I want to get the ideal numbers.

Here's the decal from my 93 vic. I run tires that are closer in spec to the police tires and they state 35psi all around. check your tire size and rating for proper inflation.

Im curious, where did you find the decal on your vehicle? It appears some moron may have removed the one off my car.

Mine is only a 94gm anyway so I dont see why it would be any different.


Im running P215/70R15 97T so 30 psi Front and 34 psi Rear is the number I was looking for.

it was on the body at the rear passenger wheel well wall behind the door.

Usually if those decals have been removed, then it's usually because of body work that's been done to repair damage in that area. Most body shops that do insurance repairs don't take the time to get the decals and replace them.

hahahaa....never seen one in the rear passenger door in other vehicles...I was out there today looking everywhere for it...I checked every door except the rear passenger...lol, figures.

Anyway, it was there, exact same label.

That sticker looks like it just came out of the factory last week! Looks like it is a Ford/ Canada version sticker.
