My 2000 Merc. Cougar makes a loud "hooting" noise at idle and during deceleration mostly when the engine is cold. I'm pretty sure it's the IAC Valve as I've done some research on Ford's "secret warranties". I was just wondering if anybody here could walk me through the steps of removing the valve so I can either clean in out or replace it cuz I don't really know what I'm looking for.
