2000 MGM Intermittent Electrical Problem

While driving, headlight, dash lights, & radio momentarily stopped working, just like someone turned off the ignition switch, except one time the car started accelerating while under cruise control. Then just as suddenly everything would started working again. This happened several times while on a 3 hour trip, a couple of times I noticed it happening when I hit a bump or pressed the brake pedal, it got real bad when I was driving on a particular bumpy road. Next day everything is working fine.

I think you need to check the connectors because they are looking loose. you have to open the dash board and make sure that the connectors are tight. Because when they are loose and car moves they disconnect the powers due to moving and after sometime when they feel andother jerk they again works. Gud luck and sorry for my broken english.

I was thinking it might be an ingition switch starting to go bad. Had similar problem before on an older car, ended up changing the ignition switch and everything was fine. Don't know if this problem could be same with a newer car that's computer controlled.
