I'm trying to get the fuel filter off my 02 GM. Do I need to buy a disconnect tool to do so ? Thanks

2002 Fuel Filter

The correct fuel filter for your 2002 Grand Marquis is:
Motorcraft # FG1114
RockAuto.com has them at a good price.
You will not need any special tools to remove and replace the fuel filter.
Two (2) new plastic clips will come with the filter.
Pry out the old clips with a screwdriver -- remove the old filter.-- check the flow direction, and install the new filter -- install the new plastic clips.
Be sure to bleed the fuel pressure down before starting work on the fuel system.
Gasoline is VERY dangerous due to the likely chance of fire and/or explosion.
Work safely -- the life you save may owe me money !!
