2006 Montego HVAC

06 Montego only blows air out of defrost vents....wondering if there are check valves, or blend door common issues I can go check?

Also - I went ahead and pulled the blend door actuator, not knowing any better, and now it is out of time/alignment :(

Could desperately use some help understanding how to get that back in alignment...please!
