car shutting down to an idle
hi i am hoping that someone might have an idea on an issue i have been dealing with for 2 months.i have an 09 marquis ls the problem is if i get on the gas pedal to much it goes to an idle and the gas pedal has no reaction.check engine light is on and when it happens a "wrench" shows up on my info center which it says in the book as a transmission fault code.
i can pull to the side of the road shut it off wait a couple seconds it starts up fine the wrench goes out on the info center but check engine light remains on,and if i try to step on it , it will do the same thing.i have taken it to a couple shops they give me the run around taking guesses but never fixed it.basically both places had no idea guessing what it could be.i am 52 years old and i am mechanically inclined i work on all my own stuff but diagnosing this has been an issue.
here are a list of parts i have replaced on there guesses
gas pedal assembly "OE"
throttle position sensor on throttle body "OE"
mass air flow sensor "aftermarket"
fuel pressure sensor on the rail "aftermarket"
i noticed the pig tail to the mass air flow seem to be ok clip was broken
is there anyone who could help me with this issue? any ideas, thoughts i don't want to pitch anymore parts at it as we all know parts ain't cheap.
i love this car low mileage for the year 56K very clean florida car.
thank you for any assistance you can offer
