Driver suspension way low

my upper and lower control arms went down. its an 01mountaineer 5.0 AWD the nut from the lower balljoint is now sitting on the inside of the rim. i wasnt driving when it happened but i had justreplaced the axel with a used one. lowerball joint and tie rod are new. is it the upper control arm? axel? an adjustment? and can i drive it slow just to move it? thanks Trish

Don't drive it. You will do more damage. I don't think it will even want to move or turn without a lower lbj. And have a word with whoever put the axle in. A used axle at that. A new one is less than $100, even less after you return the core. You must have heard the front end making noise or not driving right for a while before this, no? If the parts are new than it was a VERY faulty install. You may have easily been killed if the ball joint gave out on the highway. Have a good mechanic put it back together for you. Replace anything that was damaged or in need. Good luck.
