False Alarm trips '98 Tracer

Experiencing false trips on the factory installed alarm/alert when the car is off. It will just randomly go on, horn sounding and lights flashing. The only way I have determined to stop it is to disconnect the battery, which seems to temporarily reset the system. Any help???

Thanks!

if the battery is having low voltage issues, it could cause this. the alarms usually sound off when the battery is first connected, requiring a signal from the remote. also, if the battery terminals are not tight, it could cause intermittent voltage drops too.
