Well, I have been working on cars for well over 20 years and have an issue I hope is not the first one of it's kind. My 1999 Grand Marquis has developed a problem. The headlights keep turning on and off by themselves even when the ignition is off when the autolamp feature is on. The interior lights come on at the same time. This will continue until it gets light out. Never killed the battery yet (must be lucky). I am thinking a short in the keypad on the door since when I push the buttons it does not always unlock the doors and the interior lights do not always come on like they used to when you push a button. I did replace the sensor on the dash and also the headlight switch with no results and am thinking the keypad on the door may be the problem. Anyone ever heard of any problem like this? Appreciate any input
