Some of you may know this already. The 2005-07 Mercury Montego has a dealer notice/service bulletinfor the rear brakes. If they wear down. start causing noticeable noise,and start grooving the rear rotors during the first 3 years or 30,000 miles, bring them to your dealer for repair. When you call ahead for the appointment, ask them if there is an outstanding recall or service bulletin on this problem, so they will admit the problem before they begin the work. Others have hadthe necessary repairsdone by the dealer without charge. It will save you a great deal of money/time/parts.
