Mercury 9.9 Only Runs On Full Choke
 

Hey everyone, Just started working on a Mercury 9.9 that has been sitting for over a year. I changed the car but swapped the plate from the old carb on the new one because it didn’t have the nipple for the primer bulb line, didn’t work…So I put the old plate back on to just eliminate the primer bulb, it fires up! BUT it will only run on full choke…wondering what could cause this because all I see is people telling me to clean the carb but this carb is brand spanking new so I’m stuck..thanks for the help in advance!
