No blower replaced module and motor

Hey Ya'll I've got a 99 Merc GM with digital climate control. Blower went out all at once. I followed the advice of most of the threads to no avail. Replaced blower module/transistor with salvage yard version then replaced blower module with new and blower motor all at once from parts store. I can jump the two large lugs on the blower module connector and the blower runs on high. The EATC seems to work for all other functions. The a/c compressor runs and the evaporator housing gets cold I've briefly inspected the wiring that is visible going to the module and motor. No glaring or melty issues. Has anybody seen this or seen the blower control fail solely due to a bad EATC ? Puzzled here. HELP ! It's getting hot.

No blower .module and blower replaced

Just an update to add to your body of knowledge. A known good EATC was substituted as a final means of diagnosis. All systems go ! Although probably fairly rare ,only the eatc control panel was guilty of causing this total blower motor failure. Thanks RF OVERLORD for your input. I've been in the biz since the year of our lord 1983. Never too old to learn.
