Oil on Coil
 

I have 2003 Grand Marquis with the 4.6. The other day my engine light started flashing, so I rolled in to AutoZone so they could hook up the diagnostic. Cylinder 7 was missing.

So, I bought a new coil pack and plug. When I removed the # 7 plug, the outside of it was coated with oil (as was the coil pack). Does this mean I have a valve cover leak on the driver's side? I haven't noticed any leak spots on my driveway. Thanks.

Oh, and that did stop the engine light from flashing.

Have you pulled the new coil and checked for any "new" leaks?
