old gasoline

What do you do when you have really old gasoline in a car? Do you put in some kind of a product that breaks it up and then siphon the old gas out or something?

Thanks
Loretta

depending on the type and year of car, i can tell you how to get the gas out using the fuel pump. i usually disconnect the fuel line where it connects to the fuel filter and turn the key on and catch gas in gas can and use for burning trash, or starting camp fires.

Oh, sorry, no it's not! Early morning thinking. That's our main car and why I have come to this forum for help in the past. But this one is a 1968 Olds 98, 4 door.
