I have a 2007 Mercury Milan that I had a remote start put on. The problem I''m having is that when the car sits overnight, and I use the remote start in the morning, the heat shuts off. Seems to defeat the purpose of the remote start. Anyone heard of this or have any answers?

you may have to pull the manual out and check the settings for the climate control system. if there''s a way to have start-up settings, I''d do that. if it''s supposed to keep the last setting and it''s being reset every time you use the remote start after an overnight cool-down, I''d check the battery and connections to make sure nothing is loose or dying. if the climate control is digital, it may be getting reset by a voltage drop (the batter may have a weak or dead cell). This voltage drop usually will not prevent the car from starting unless there''s not enough current to drive the starter or the battery drops 2 or more cells.
