Window demister issues
 

Hi all
The windscreen demister on my '74 Montego has stopped working, turned it on the other day and there was what sounded like a crack or snap and it stopped working.
Before I start stripping the control unit and demisting system apart, does anyone know what might have caused this?
Has anyone else had experience of this?
