When the trans. is shifting and when just running alone I have a strange shutter that happens period arcticly. Anyone know what it could be.

does it happen around 35mph? what you need to do is drain all the fluid. This means not just the pan fluid but the torque converter fluid. it should start to stop doing this after about 30 miles of driving. If not then your torque converter might be bad, What year is the car? Sometimes the newer cars can be recaliburated and this fixxes the problem also

Someone probabably put in merc4 trans fluid at one time causing the fluid to burn out early. The car takes merc 5. All the fluid needs to be changed and it will fix the problem. Maske sure the torque converter is drained.

Post some pics of the car. We love to see new rides!

let this be a lesson to all...CHANGE ALL OF THE TRANS FLUID!!!! and when it is suppose to be changed, color or smell is only a way to check it between fluid changes.
