1995 Mercury Marquis
 

I purchased a 1995 Mercury Grand Marquis a month ago. I have an issue with the ABS brakes. When I press the brake at low speeds it reacts like the front end is sliding on ice. Grabs and pulsates like the front left is wheel is sliding. Has anyone had a similar problem. Was it the wheel sensor, was it the ABS main unit? Another problem?

Normally with any sort of ABS failure (like a wheel speed sensor, the pump, or the control) the abs is disabled and the light comes on.... I would start with the basic stuff first like a caliper not releasing, or a severely damaged rotor or pads...
